The emblematic part of project is the TreeHugger, an insect hotel. It is a responsive wooden structure designed to support biodiversity in the urban environment around Zovnařka locality in Prague.
TreeHugger offers a separate home to a diverse range of insect species. Based on position on the tree trunk and current weather, the gradient of solid wooden panels opens and closes in a different time, to a different degree. Each wooden panel responds to temperature, humidity and sun position making the whole structure responsive to its environmental conditions and offering shelter for various species, each with different bioclimatic preferences.
